1/43 Greenlight Caprice Cop Car - Anyone ever take one apart and repaint?

Hello,

I'm looking to make a Missouri Highway Patrol car out of this Greenlight Caprice and some 1/43 decals from bilbozodecals.com.

I'd like to repaint it solid white as the above pic. Has anyone ever taken one apart and repainted it into their favorite cop car?
