1:64 is perfect for American Flyer S gauge.

The plastic Fords, Mercurys, and Plymouths that came in Grape~nuts flakes cereal from 54 to 66 or so were very nice, 1:64 scale models.

They also fit perfectly in the Plasticville ranch house garage.
