I've got the cars and material to do another Lionel 1700 restore project. The power unit on this one is very different to any Lionel 1700 I've ever seen. The opening is huge. But I think all will still work out OK. The 1702 observation car showed up today. It's much better than I thought it would be. I almost hate to strip it down. However it's part of what I'm doing. I love taking these beat up Lionel trains and putting them back to a better state!
