1890-1920 train station roofing materials?

I'm building a model of the Colorado Midland/Midland Terminal station in Divide, CO. There are no pictures of the station from it's heyday. I'm wondering if the tin roof may have been correct as-built, or if it probably would have had some sort of shingles?
