I picked up an MTH 20-90638F 2 bay fish belly hopper and it doesn't say that the bay doors open but they do! And that's convenient. It's got me thinking of some new options in place of a rotary dumper I was working on to work with non-rotary coupler cars. It would be easier to build a gizmo to open and close those doors than lift a car, spin it, and set it back down.
But opening doors isn't a listed feature on the website or on the box. Does anyone know if this was/is standard on MTH Premier hoppers? I've found a number of other 2 bay fish belly hoppers but it's not listed on there either.
