2 Lionchief Engines together - same consist?

Ok, this might be a dumb question, but I am very new to this hobby. I have two RS-3 Lionel Lionchief engines.

Can I run these two engines hooked together, in the same consist? If they are both placed at the same speed on the remote.

I know you can run two on the same track, just thought it would be neat to have them together, and make things more realistic.
