Good point, Joe. It makes a difference if you will be running a small layout with single engines and shorter trains or a large layout with 2 track mainlines with doubleheaded engines and pushers on the end. Lights, sound and smoke all add to the mix.

Ralph, Maybe more info about what you'd like to accomplish would help narrow things down a bit.
