I agree with Tom Tee. Battery is the way to go.

Check out BlueRail. It is one board that can run on AC or DC track power or battery.

You can buy any brand DCC sound decoder you want for sounds.

If you have MTH engines with a DCC switch, it's even easier.

No DCC equipment or controllers to buy.
