I've been searching for a light string for this but unable to find one. Would a single 6 volt 1.2 amp 7.2 watt power adapter work with this?

I know power adapters typically come with a unique plug, but don't see why I couldn't cut the end of of the power adapter and the end off the ornament and connect them directly.
