Thanks Carl! I'll be ordering one and trying this project. I have more than enough projects lined up, but I am happy to revisit this one and get a chuffing unit installed as I originally envisioned. Unfortunately, it will probably take a long time to get the decoder programming set correctly. I used an ESU decoder with the power to drive a smoke unit, and they are very sensitive to the type of motor when getting the chuff timing synched with wheel rotation. It is a trial and error process with about 7 different CV's.
