I just completed a service (re-wire, new brushes, overall cleaning...) on a newly acquired tender. It wants to whistle, but it "screeches" more than whistles. I should note that prior to the service I did put it on the track and noticed the relay was functioning but no movement of the armature. I read through the Greenburg repair manual but can't seem to associate any of the trouble shooting issues with the screeching sound. Any suggestions?
