The charger power adapter has a symbol printed on it showing a + symbol in the center of the plug symbol. Does yours show that? If so, that means that the center conductor of the plug is + (PLUS) and you can follow that wiring to the reels to the LEDs to make sure that PLUS goes to the PLUS side of the LED strips.
