That dimension is approximately 5/32". The "lights" did not have any color, but the MTH versions had the "light" painted alternating red and green (two green, two red on each one). Or is this a pop quiz where I am supposed to say that white denotes an extra, green is a second section of a scheduled train and red is for an engine on the end of the train?
