I would love to add a couple high-quality 2-rail SD40-2's to my roster but at a price north of $2K per loco I think I'll pass and wait to see if 3rd Rail's models ever come to fruition. If not then the Atlas SD40's, albeit a slightly different variant, will more than fit the bill. Of course, they may take some time as well.

It's 4-axle power (GP35's and GP40's) only for the foreseeable future...and I like it!
