I got in on two CNW SD45s with Erik at MMW like 2 weeks ago and that was long after the close of reservations. North of 2k is a bit off, more like south of 3k at $2700 each it's a huge outlay but they come with, what I've heard, the best drive around bar none, that's worth a grand right there and the detail is expected to be phenomenal to say the least. Now if you figure it in at a 2 year project and stretch the cash out across that time frame it's much more realistic to pull the trigger.
To me previous comment on the SDP45F I had a much different loco in my head not the actual loco so I was off in my comment about that.
