I just reread the PRRT&HS Keystone magazine Vol. 49 No.3 that has the PRR Solarium article inside. All the pictures of the Solarium cars in the article were of the Three window design as they were Pullmans then leased to the PRR and painted in PRR Colors.

  • Car #8531 Andrew W. Mellon [ also with the FOM & Buy Extra War Bonds Banner]
  • Car #8532 Richard Beatty Mellon
  • Car #8533 Costilla
  • Car #8534 Denver
  • Car #8535 Kit Carson
  • Car #8536 Rio Blanco
  • Car #8537 Texas Plains
  • Car #8538 Afton Canyon
  • Car #8539 Bryce Canyon
  • Car  #8540 Dixie Bay
  • Car #8541 Dixie Home
  • Car #8542 Dixie Land
  • Car #8543 Dixie Trail
  • Car #8544 Echo Canyon
  • Car #8545 Ogden Canyon
  • Car #8546 Palm Grove
  • Car #8547 Palm Villa
  • Car #8548 Rainbow Canyon
  • Car #8549 Zion Canyon

As stated Above, if there is a darth of Pullman Three window Solarium, It would be very wise for Scott to do a run of both the three and Two window solarium cars. I am sure PRR fans would by both models. I know I would.

And the " Andrew W. Mellon has several Styles of Paint including PRR FOM colors along with a "Buy Extra War Bonds" billboard underneath the windows! What's NOT to LOVE!

Any ideas about which trains carried these cars in the Fifties?
