Amtrak E60 PLEASE!

Probably NOT a big seller, I my opinion.

 Think also Heritage units...

You mean like all the Heritage units both Lionel and MTH have already produced?

Isn’t one of things sunset models that sunset Models does are prototypes that aren’t common and the major manufacturers stay away from because it’s not a big seller?

I have voted for an E60 many times and I am glad to see some of be other folks chime in here. I will pay for 3 in advance - not enough to warrant a run but I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.

Granted it’s a regional locomotive, but there’s actually about 7 or 8 varieties that can be done  (Amtrak Phase 2, Phase 2 with ghetto grills, E60CH Phase 3, E60MA Phase 3, NJ transit E60CH, Desert Wind E60, NdeM E60), and it has more a following than you may think.  It would go very nicely with the Amfleet scale car offerings.

My earliest memories are riding with my father to Trenton, NJ station and watching the E60s blast into Trenton with the morning clocker - with up to 10 to 15 cars.

As a kid, I always felt the closet you could get to running with the bulls in this country was to stand and try to hold your ground on Trenton platform near the escalator as the evening clocker arrived and the army of gray suits fought to get up the single escalator and staircase at the west end of the platform.

Ya know, who would have thought a Virginian EL2B would have sold well but it still got made right?

I might be interested in an E60 as well, although my preference would be for an F40PH simply because those roamed the Earth in my neck of the woods.
