now I would love Scott to answer this question. Why not leave a project on hold indefinitely until the reservations are full, even if it takes a year or two? I'd rather wait for a must have engine than not get it at all.
The reservation has not been taken down off the site. It only got announced a week ago. It would be safe to assume this will stay up for a while. The ACE-3000 came down after several months and only 30 orders.
That's how the process works. Float the trial balloons and see what sells. Something like this locomotive though will eventually see the reservations to a point where it will go forward. It may just take 6 months to a year.
