Scott Mann/Sunset 3rd Rail is a pretty good example of supply and demand working very well.

They announce a project and project what the supply price will be and allow us as consumers to exercise our right to "demand" ie or it. If the demand does no materialize, it is not their fault. they put out the offer based on our input. "we" as a group were apparently not nearly as interested as we thought we were.
