One fly in the ointment 3D printing a car is having decent looking clear windows.

The trick is finding a model with an interior. Then the windows can be separated and printed in clear resin. Still going to be a lot more expensive just purchasing a model (unless designing from scratch) than modifying an existing car on the big auction site such as that '66 Goat.
