Not to belabor the point, but the photo of that set in the 1946 catalog showed three Irvington cars - not Madisons. And if the set did have the three Madisons they would have been numbered 2625.

I know not a lot of us care about these details anymore, but they really determine rarity and originality. We remaining dinosaurs still try to pass on this info when we can to those who might still care! 

That being said - a nice 726 with any of those heavyweight cars in such nice condition is an outstanding set.

Note that the outfit shown from 1946, 2114WS -- the '46 Berk with three Irvington cars-- is not known to have been produced. The individual pieces exist, sure. But not the 1946 boxed outfit.

It's possible that, in absence of a boxed outfit, a retailer assembled the pieces shown as above to approximate 2114WS.
