765 in 1985

With all the current interest in NKP #765, I thought some on the board might appreciate a look back at some of its history. In September, 1985 the 2-8-4 was power for the 20th Century RR club's "Overland 400" between Chicago and Sterling, IL. I rode on Saturday, and went back down to the North Western Station Sunday to see its departure and get more photos. I do not know if the esteemed Mr. Melvin was in the crew that day, but here's a look back at a great weekend with 765.
