Yes there were some of the 1.0 Legacy units that became bricked and had to be returned. I think Barry got one and despite some claims that all were defective and would eventually brick, mine was solid.

The CAB2 to Base communications problems was a 1.1 or 1.2 problem but 1.3 fixed most of that
