John, yes, I didn't want to lowball the seller. it ended up being mutually beneficial. With the high price I figured what do I have to lose by asking. And I don't usually negotiate much. I have an idea of the prices for items I want so I either buy or walk away most of the time. But for a hard to find item I'll give it a try.
