Ted, great thread...first time I've seen it!  Leave it to you to take the well-deserved lead on photography skills  I've take the easy way out lately.  I have better luck using my Samsung Galaxy camera (5 years old now) than my 35mm SLR.  I'm not a big fan of the latest windows version, but the photo editing software option is great for light effects and can easily convert any picture to B & W.  With the simple movement of a bar, you can darken a picture or convert to B & W.  I take most of my pics near dusk when there's a small amount of natural light hitting the layout from the basement windows...light up the buildings, hit the shutter, then adjust lighting on the PC afterwards, as needed.

Dallas, I can recall seeing that "blue patch with stars" at Polk in '69...some great guys for sure!

I've used the photo editing on my inexpensive Motorola phone with good results .

Yup.......they lived under that Southern Cross..........great song lyrics too.
