Hi Mike, light pipes are just round or square solid acrylic that can be purchased at stores like Tap Plastics in California only. I'm sure you have a similar store where ever you are.

Here's a photo of the light pipes in the bus. The light passes through the 3/16" round acrylic from the source and out the other end. You've probably seen this before but light pipe might be an unfamiliar term.
