In front of the mountain is the American Flyer illuminated station and a couple of HO Scale buildings:

Since the buildings are a little in the distance and in front of a mountain and tunnel, they work eventhough in HO. BTW, the buildings were already made and dirt cheap that I bought from a local train store that was happy to have me take it off their hands.

One of the buildings came with an already made "fire and smoke" coming out of the chimneys on its roof:
