Reply to "A Quick First Look: Lionel's 21" StationSounds Diners"

When I read that the newer Passenger Cars were going to be made of Plastic, I was a bit concerned about Quality and of course the overall Appearance and how the end Product would turn out. I do not intend this to be negative, I have been accustomed to the nice 18 inch Alluminum sets of the early to mid 2000's. A friend of mine, in the Nashville Tennessee area purchased the Empire State Set, and we took the set to Hawesville, Kentucky (Outside Owensboro, Ky.) and ran this set on a 3500 square foot Empire. So, when we unpacked this beautiful set, We Were ALL Amazed at the Really Beautiful Attention to Detail and color of these cars. Lionel did an amazing job of creating these luxury detailed passenger cars. The layout I am actually speaking of, is JOHNNY DAWSON'S, a Really huge Track Plan, with Long, Wide, Sweeping curves.....21 inch cars seem right at home on his layout. So, I really like these newly designed cars...Thanks for posting.
