What would be the difference of the block toggles between DC and DCC? Do you wire DC and DCC the same?
John, as my railroad was DC, the block toggles were aready in place. They're double pole, double throw, center-off toggle switches. Although it's a relatively small single track railroad, it gave me the ability to run two trains at once if I wanted to.
Basically, I just disconnected one of my standard throttles from the terminal strip that supplys one side of the toggles and connected my DCC sytem there. In my case, left is DCC, right is DC.
It also has the advantage of being able to isolate sections in case something shorts out somewhere.
