Thank you for the thoughtful responses.
I guess you're probably right; an additional place just to to bemoan products probably wouldn't help. I was merely thinking of a way to avoid the over-loading of complaints on threads which originally were posted about things other than QC issues, like repairs or painting.
When I see a thread that I think might be of interest, it does bother me to then have to wade though all the negative posts that will oft times appear; but I guess my frustration is nothing compared to the frustration a purchaser feels when his/her sometimes expensive item is faulty right out of the box!
So on it goes...
