Reply to "A Tale of Two Turntables"

Great job on the planning, designing and building of that great turntable.  All very modern and hi tech to boot.  The write up is also super with the beautiful illustrations, pictures and video.  They were so good I was thinking much of the time this was a professional proposal not a real building of an operating turntable.  I know you had a great time working out the problems that had to be solved to make the turntable.  I admire your technical and computer skills.

Forty years ago I made a much simpler, homemade turntable for my 027 toy train layout and that was the most fun and rewarding project of the whole layout building and evolution over the years.  The turntable gets the most action and interest of the layout.
