AC motor on a DC e-unit

GGG - you wrote info below on 1-16-14, I believe. I'm interested!!

I have searched but couldn't find this particular discussion anywhere - I found the opposite, running a DC motor on an LCRU  Any chance you could point me in the right direction? I would like to run a single Pullmore motor on an E103 e-unit. I will use heat sinks on the driver transistors.

"There is a method to use a DC motor reverse unit with a bridge rectifier to keep the current flowing in the same direction through the field while polarity of the brushes is reversed.  I have done this with the Lionel 103 e-unit on a single AC motor Alco.  Runs fine.  Just lower top speed.  If interest I will post directions.  G"
