As long as it doesn't have K-Line Cruise installed, it's very easy. Sometimes the K-Line cruise module handles some lighting as well as the chuffing. FWIW, I believe that ERR is migrating to a single board that works for all types of installs, there used to be two. The diesel board wasn't suitable for a locomotive with the wireless drawbar. Since you don't have a wireless drawbar, that really doesn't apply to your case.
