A cap wouldn't do much. What I'd consider is perhaps an AC<->DC power module set to 10V and a couple of 1.5F supercaps in series to make a 10V cap. That would give you some hold-up time, my experience would suggest probably 4-5 seconds before the power supply on the sound board dropped out from low voltage.
