Terrific idea! My mountain track is open from the bottom, but that also means a serious derailment can have equipment hitting the concrete. I have the opportunity to cut an large access hatch into the Masonite wall that makes up the back side of the mountain, and your post is encouraging me to do it. I have had derailments in the tunnel… of course.
