The MTH cars that MikeH refers to (30-69267) is a Chicago & Alton set and, according to the MTH website, each car is 16 3/4" in length but operates on 031 curves.

Those look really nice. I had some of the RK O27 streamliners but they looked too stubby. The 15-16” size works well for my layout. Wish I could go 18” but that will be another day.
