Tom Hodgson was a "cottage industry" of a company called American Hirail.

He offered Aerotrains back in 2001, powered with his own drive. The were made of urethane, essentially larger versions of the old Varney HO Aerotrain. The HO model was the original, surrounded by a mold paste, the resulting mold was then enlarged using a chemical process.

American HiRail is long out of business.
