I DID BUY A MID-RANGE 45W CO2 GLOWFORGE.

I previously bought a cheap Chinese so-called  "laser cutters" with a 7W solid state laser. They don't cut. Even though some YOUTUBE videos show these 7-watters cutting; they don't.

To cut wood or acrylic and a number of other materials you need at least a 40W CO2 laser. Although with a lesser wattage solid state laser you can score and  engrave.

Only a GlowForge can do 3D engraves easily.

I no longer use my drill press or band saw; instead I laser-cut any size holes and perfect rectangular holes.
