I posted as SF warbonnet F3. It was a color photo that I 3D engraved.

The GF takes each color as a depth to engrave. So white is no engrave and black is the deepest engrave.

All the colors in between engrave at depths in between the depths of  white and black.

However, the GF's laser will very the power of the laser in one laser pass. See below; note the depth of cut varies.

PRINTED in one pass; the depth was not obtained by multiple passes over the same part of the engrave.
