Dave, hard to believe but I know people who have owned a computer over twenty years that cannot post a photo not even with a smart phone. I show someone how at least once a year. j
I do not have a smart phone, but I do post photos on the Forum, of course. Too easy not to.
May I add my complaint? To this day, I have to try to explain TMCC to someone, regularly. Just the idea of how it works. Good ol' last-quarter-century TMCC - the friendliest system ever. They get sweaty. They say "I can't understand that kind of stuff", then turn to their "smart" phone and do things that I cannot fathom doing - or wanting to. But them use a CAB-1? Oh, the horror, the horror.
For some reason, the explanation that seems to work best without upsetting them is: "it works a lot like a radio control airplane system; signals, antennas and such". This is somehow comforting. I have no idea why.
That's the way I explain all the new control systems. I tell them the new trains are radio control with cruise and digital recordings for sounds. And you can even control them with your smart phone. That gets them. Their eyes widen and they look at you and say with a questioning tone to their voice "REALLY ?" j
