My jaw dropped when my next door neighbor walked over to me sitting on my patio and handed me a plastic bag filled with American Flyer trains. I had noticed the front half of an AF northern sticking out of the hole in the bag! The engine and tender & cars from a work train were all there, grubby and unloved but amazingly intact. This was a nice old set with hook couplers and mostly die-cast cars. It was just dumb luck that the engine hadn't fallen out on her concrete driveway and been broken. I gave it all to a friend that loves Flyer. He couldn't believe it!
