I went to the Big E yesterday and I was surprised by the Maine 2-foot live steamer running in the parking lot, and the attendance which seems to grow every year. The Big is second to York in my opinion, and as it grows it will eventually overtake York.

Walking through the buildings with a friend, we scored a 1917 vintage 602 Baggage car for $5, 2 brand new Lionel track bumpers for $10, a like new American Flyer crossing signal for $10, 2 Lionel trestles for $5, several pieces of post war Lionel rolling stock @ $5 each, a lot of new in the box discontinued HO stuff and the latest catalogs from MTH, Lionel and American Flyer.

The eye candy was spectacular, the dealers were in a bargaining mood and the people were very friendly. Long live the Big E!
