After a summer hiatus, I have now finished assembling the USA TRACK, which has been a wonderful recommendation. Given the size of the layout, almost all of the track is currently comprised of curves, so using the block of wood and small hammer to assemble the track, was not a viable option for the bulk of the track connections.

The information posted on this thread as to assembly, including from Art and from Kirk was very helpful. Kirk also helped plan the layout, and gave very detailed, very useful instruction, all along the way.

Thanks to each of you for the suggestions and comments.
