Reply to "And you think your layout would be tough to dismantle?"

I remember reading the article in MR magazine 25 years ago. The passenger car was built from scratch. The owner dug out an area next to his basement wall of his house to "extend" the basement. The locomotive was then lowered down into this area by a crane. The loco was then slid into his basement. Once that was complete. The basement wall was put back up, and the hole that was dug was covered by a concrete pad, then dirt and grass was put back. The hole was left next to the house in case he wanted to move. I have the magazine issue somewhere, but I remember there were photos online showing this entire process.
