Calico, I think you can find answers to your questions at the beginning of this topic.  I'll give the Cliff Notes version.  The magazine was just started last year by a group of young men who are avid railroad and model railroad fans, all in their teens.  They have done a superb job with this venture.  While they have mostly covered prototype railroading, both historic and current, they have also put in each issue an article or two from a modeling perspective.  Now they have teemed up with OGR, and will share some information, which we will have to stay tuned to see what comes of that.  I am very pleased with my the two issues I have purchased.  I suggest you go to the links Evan cited in his last message, and give it a try.

I just got back from my mailbox, and see that Sam (I refer to my postal delivery person as Sam whether it is the young man or young lady driving the delivery car) delivered a post card from Railroading in America magazine telling me a bit about the next edition to be sent out in September. ""Diesel locomotives, model railroading project, Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, exclusive story by Rich Melvin, and much more""
