I could see a bluetooth to legacy adapter.  Let just imagine this is right:

The remote bluetooth controller sends a command to the bluetooth to legacy adapter using of course bluetooth rf signalling, the adapter converts it to the appropriate legacy signalling and sends it out...  and away we go.

In fact the "nice" thing about legacy is it's all one way save for LCS... so you don't even have to worry about getting info back ...

But the LCS could probably be made to plug into the bluetooth adapter and it could be made to have enough of the "base code" to work... and send its packets back through the bluetooth signalling to the remote control system.

Of course any new bluetooth engines, can just use bluetooth.

Having said all that, technical feasibility probably doesn't necessarily translate to making money ...  and that's probably it in nutshell for them.  They could ditch legacy, maybe they imagine eventually they will -- but how does that help their bottom line?

Anyway, just speculation!
