Every year it is our family tradition to make a nighttime trip down to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. It is about a 20 minute drive from our house. We usually eat dinner at one of the restaurants and just "walk The Wharf." This year I got a few photos of the Hyde Street cable cars and one of the restored PCC streetcars that run along Jefferson Street on the Wharf. The San Francisco Municipal Railway has many restored PCC streetcars from around the United States. The one in this pic is from Detroit. They also have one from Cleveland and one in their original SF Muni colors and logo. They also have restored trolleys from Milan, Italy. Besides all the wonderful SF Muni traction, we saw the many decorated fishing boats and the USS Jeremiah O'Brien, a fully restored World War II Liberty ship. We ended our night with a caricature sketch and an Irish Coffee at the 100-year old tavern called The Buena Vista.
