Another Lionel Rescue

Found this Frisco boxcar on Ebay and bought it for $5.00. It was in poor condition with two broken couplers. A dirty, discolored shell, which was originally a crème color, and half the original road markings rubbed off from years of handling. Did a bit of research and found out that this piece was produced by Lionel in 1957.

Sanded down and filled the remaining road markings, washed it, primed, painted and reassigned it to a new railroad. Wire brushed some surface rust from the platform, primed and repainted it. A set of new trucks with operating couplers and she's ready to roll again!
