Reply to "Any body here ever sleep over night on a train?"

I was scheduled to do an overnight on Amtrak once, but plans changed.  

I did some research back then in preparation for my trip, and the things you needed to take were duct tape, cardboard, and a few wood shims (door jamb).  These items would allow you to eliminate squeaks, stray light, and control the temperature.
