Anyone have Western Hobbycraft Trolley with TMCC ?

I recently picked up one of Walt's remaining Western Hobbycraft trolleys. A friend is installing TMCC in it, however when we place the shell back on it blocks the signal. Does anyone have a TMCC version of the trolley and if you do how is the antennae set up?
